By Dmitry Vasenyov

When you have a wedding preparation you should think about music that will sound during the main wedding phases. This music should make people feel comfortable at your ceremony and create the right atmosphere.

Music as any other aspect of the wedding should be planned properly. You should decide on the type of your wedding and find the music that will be appropriate to the type of the wedding. More religious style will need traditional classical music like string quartet or even an organist in the church. If you have non religious style you have a better choice of music alternatives.

If you make a decision to have music at your wedding ceremony you should think about the right type of music that will be applicable to that formal occasion. Generally there should be the music to sound before and after the ceremony.

Processional and recessional music should sound during the ceremony as well as music that should sound during candle lightening. You may choose traditional music during the ceremony because it is always applicable. You may also think about other styles of music to keep the formal but solemn mood during your ceremony.

The next part is choosing the music that will sound during the wedding party. It all depends on your tastes and preference. There are some popular options such as DJ or live wedding band that you may hire. The atmosphere that is created by these two options can be different. The most common and effective choice if the live band because they convey live entertaining music and can keep the guests amused.

Nothing can replace live band but live bands commonly have bounded repertoire. DJs are more flexible from this point of view. DJs have versatile song lists. If you choose a DJ it is advisable that a DJ can work as MC as well to entertain your guests.
