By playing for many years, I have learned that even the most complicated issued can be explained in the simplest possible way... By realizing this, I came to a thought to have all lessons split into smallest parts for easy understanding.
The best advice I could give to the beginners (and those that are certainly not first timers) is very basic. You have to badly want something, trust it and apply a great deal towards it.
In this situation, you need to believe that you'll become an excellent bass player, you terribly want to become a great bass player and you must work very hard to become a great bass guitar player.
Master how to read bass notes. After around ten years of actively playing bass, I've reached my highest level and I have discovered that I cannot go any more without understanding the way to study bass notes.
In those days, I've even considered to stop playing completely. I lost my willpower and I have ceased practicing.
As soon as I began to master the bass notes, I have gone through the barrier which was stopping me in going forward. The whole new world opened up in front of my sight and with a smile on my face I've moved over that barrier, realizing that I can never get into back to the pit I was trapped in beforehand.
Learn to read TABS. The same as with bass notes - it is very necessary to realize as it can only support you obtain the hang of playing bass. Personally I suggest bass notes, but I do consider it would be good for also spend some time on TABS.
Training. It's a lot preferable to practice two hours at once, then half hour in the morning, one hour around midday and half hour in the evening. Practice every day!
Remember that with each every day you will know more that the previous day and as such each training will require more than the one before. The more you know, the more time it will bring you to undergo everything you know, so that you don't forget anything!
